Abstract
Objective: The study analyzes the presence of ethics in cataloging service performed by the librarian. Method: The study used the method of literature review. Results: The results obtained are the conceptualization of ethics term ; affirmation of the importance of information technologies and communication for cataloging service and information retrieval systems ; the ethical role of the librarian in cataloging service. Conclusions: The bibliographic review allowed to make proposals for future studies in the field of Library and Information Science.
