El presente texto estudia las fuentes y comentarios de diversos autores sobre los Juegos Moriscos que discurrieron frente a la ciudad de Purchena, y que recoge Ginés Pérez de Hita en su obra “Guerras civiles de Granada”. Se sitúa el hecho en su contexto histórico y luego se detallan las distintas acciones deportivas que se configuran como deportes o pruebas deportivas directamente traídas a ese siglo desde la memoria de los Juegos Olímpicos de la Grecia clásica.

This text studies the sources and commentaries of different authors on the Moriscos Games that were celebrated in front of the city of Purchena, and that gathers Ginés Perez de Hita in its work “Civil Wars of Granada”. The fact is located in its historical context and the different sport actions are detailed that it is said comes from the Classic Greece Olympic Games.
