Abstract
El present article s’emmarca en l’àmbit dels MOOC, especialmente els orientats a l’adquisició d’idiomes. Els objectius d’aquesta recerca són aclarir l’estat del debat al voltant de si obre un nou camí vers l’aprenentatge de llengües estrangeres, evocar els seus avantatges i febleses i analitzar el seu  disseny metodològic. Els resultats més destacables són la tendència homogeneïtzadora dels MOOC en la construcció del coneixement que no garanteix la plena recepció dels seus continguts, les limitades possibilitats per a reflectir la diversitat cultural i la necessitat de dissenyar noves propostes pedagògiques que encarrilin el potencial tecnològic cap a una major personalització de l’aprenentatge.
