Abstract
A escassez dos recursos naturais resultante da degradação dos ecossistemas fez emergir a discussão sobre novos paradigmas de desenvolvimento e relacionamento homem/natureza. Nesse sentido, o modelo de desenvolvimento sustentável vem ganhando espaço na agenda Político-administrativa e os poderes locais passaram a incorporar no planejamento do seu desenvolvimento princípios da sustentabilidade. Assim, atividades econômicas como o turismo vem se tornando uma alternativa econômica viável e sustentável para esse novo momento político-econômico de redefinição das competências que vêm passando as esferas locais.
