Abstract
This article aims to highlight the importance that the behavior
revealed by the intimate and personal writing of a woman, in this case D. Joana
de Vasconcellos e Menezes, recently married for the second time with D. Diogo
de Lima, takes in an attempt to restore the family honor also contributing to the
