Abstract

The paper presents empirical evidence of psychological relationship of culture and the success of teachers, which is important in the context of a new educational paradigm, one of the priorities of which is the formation of «human culture». Distinctive features of the psychologically cultural teacher – is to develop skills of self-regulation of personality states, activities and relationships with other people, a high level of adaptability and the ability to predict and evaluate the results of its activities, including professional. There has also been underlined the specificity of the identified interrelation among university, college and school teachers.

Purpose. In the course of theoretical and experimental research to establish the success of the growth opportunities of teachers by improving their cultural potential.

Methodology or the methodology of work. As an organizational method, method of transverse sections has been used. The study used well known standard techniques: self-constructed reports, as well as the method of peer review activities.

Results. The obtained results of the pilot study indicate a strong relationship between the components of psychological culture and teaching activities, individual psychological characteristics and education, acting as a subjective potential of a teacher and leading to a success in his professional activities, and are largely determined by the development of psychological culture.

Scope results. The results of the study will benefit in the development of training programs for university professors, college and school teachers in the context of the growth of their psychological culture, taking into account peculiarities of manifestation of this phenomenon.
