Abstract
As the result of the 5-year monitoring of Ukrainian agriecosystems we have demonstrated the circulation of seven viruses on sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) plants, namely Tomato spotted wilt virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, Alfalfa mosaic virus, Tobacco mosaic virus, Potato virus X, Tomato mosaic virus, and Pepper mild mottle virus. The analysis of commercial seed material of sweet pepper confirmed its contamination with 4 viruses: Tobacco mosaic virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, Tomato mosaic virus, and Pepper mild mottle virus. Pepper mild mottle virus has been detected both in seed and plant material of sweet pepper in Ukraine for the first time.
