Abstract
A imprensa portuguesa acompanhou pari passu os acontecimentos que marcaram a transição da monarquia à república no Brasil, revelando o interesse do público leitor pelo desenrolar dos fatos naquela conjuntura brasileira. Cada jornal, ou conjunto de jornais, revelaria determinadas condutas editoriais e construções discursivas a respeito do que ocorria no Brasil, revelando variadas formas de reproduzir aquela dada realidade. Este artigo consiste em um breve estudo de caso acerca dessas manifestações jornalísticas, através da abordagem do semanário lisboeta A Crença Liberal.
