Abstract
La mayor parte de los medios de comunicación, tanto escritos como audiovisuales, tienen ya su sitio en Internet y también se han instalado en la red otros nuevos exclusivamente digitales. En estos pocos años de experiencia, todos han podido comprobar lo difícil que es conseguir y mantener las audiencias y ser rentables económicamente. Además, se están produciendo cambios en el trabajo periodístico y en la relación con las fuentes y con los lectores. La docencia universitaria del Periodismo debe ofrecer a los alumnos esta realidad y las pautas para que puedan ejercer su profesión con competencia ahora y en el futuro.ABSTRACTMost of the mass media written as well as audio-visual already have a sitio in internet and so do the new and exclusive digital ones. Yet in only these past few years all have experienced how difficult it is to obtain and mantain the audience as well as to keep economically profitable. Moreover changes are taking place in the way work is carried out in journalism and in relation with its sources and in its readers. University teaching of Journalism should offer its students this reality and the guidelines to practise with competence now and in the future their profession.
