Abstract
The aim of this paper is to discuss the relation between the internationalisation process of the firm, focusing Uppsala Internationalisation Model, strategic alliances and supply networks, as complex adaptative systems and the export mode of internacional entry in the brazilian business context. The actual complexity imposed by the current market dynamics requests an international positioning of the organizations, turning the focus to the internacional operations. The depedence of partners abroad in order to distribute or sell goods or services incurs in a higher valorization of learning and experience sharing between the businesses. The literature review consists of Uppsala theory, considering that the internationalization process is incremental and based on successive learing, trial and error, self-adaptation and networks. External networks, including suppliers and customers, throughout the supply chain, consist the major contribution to the organizational international performance and should be selforganized and adaptative, in order to allow the free flow of ideas, technology and success practices between the links.
