Abstract
RESUMEN: Este artículo trata algunos problemas relativos al personal auxiliar (apparitores y serví publicí) que ayudaba a los magistrados municipales romanos de la Bética. Primero se centra en los distintos tipos de apparitores, su origen social y el procedimiento oficial para seleccionarlos. Luego se estudia el caso especial de los scribae. Eran los principales apparitores por sus más delicadas competencias y por cobrar los sueldos más altos. Los contratos y sueldos de los diferentes apparitores son analizados a continuación. Finalmente, la tercera parte está dedicada a los esclavos públicos municipales y sus ocupaciones.
ABSTRACT: This study deals with some problems concerning the auxiliary apparatus (apparitores and servi publici) that operated in Roman towns ofBaetica in order to aid municipal magistrates in their tasks. A first section is dedicated to the different types of apparitores, their social origin and the official procedure to select them.Then the special case of the scribae is examinated.They were the most important apparitores because of their delicate jobs, and they received the highest wages.The contracts and ranking of wages of the municipal apparitores are immediately focused. Finally some considerations are made about the public slaves of Roman towns and their labor competencies.
