Abstract
Apresento neste breve artigo uma noção de justiça segundo o pensamento de DavidHume. A justiça humeana se posiciona totalmente em prol da ordem social, isto é, o objetivo éque a segurança na sociedade seja instaurada. Para que isso aconteça de fato, é preciso quealgumas regras desta virtude artificial venham a ser respeitada por todos os homens. Ajustificação da propriedade é uma máxima que deve ser assegurada estavelmente. Os homensestão predispostos ao egoísmo que vence a benevolência natural. A partir do momento em queos homens percebem que são egoístas e que viver em sociedade é vantajoso, acrescentam-seentão as convenções para que a ordem social seja instaurada.
