Abstract
Pesquisa que apresenta subsídios para melhor compreensão da produção do conhecimento em Ciência da Informação, no Brasil, através da análise de parte desta produção difundida na Encontros Bibli: Revista Eletrônica de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação. A investigação parte do pressuposto de que a produção científica reflete-se nas revistas publicadas e, por isso, verificou as características desta revista eletrônica como canal de difusão do conhecimento produzido em Ciência da Informação e Biblioteconomia no país. O estudo teve como limites de investigação a revista, os autores e os artigos, sua estrutura, sua evolução e desenvolvimento como veículo de produção do conhecimento das áreas de Ciência da Informação e Biblioteconomia.

This research had the objective to understand the production of knowledge in Information Science in Brazil through the analysis of part of its scientific production disseminated through the journal Encontros Bibli: Revista Eletrônica de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação. This work verified the characteristics of this electronic journal as a channel of dissemination of scientific production in Information and Library Science in Brazil. The interest of the research is limited to the periodical, its structure, authors, articles, and its evolution and development as a vehicle of dissemination of knowledge. The main idea is that the scientific production is reflected in journals and when we study journal articles, we are analyzing the literature of a Science, that is, its product.
