Abstract
Na ciência, modelos podem ser analogias provindas de outros campos. A narrativa literária da vivência de desencontro com a própria imagem no espelho é uma metáfora da subjetivação como um processo a partir de uma alteridade que a precede. Se Lacan estabeleceu uma analogia com um experimento da óptica a fim de elaborar um modelo desse processo psíquico, a literatura, por sua vez, dispõe das metáforas que funcionam como modelos de fenômenos psíquicos devido à sua função crítica.
