Abstract
The aim of this work is to reflect on the difficulties faced by men and women who at some stage of their life combined
the care of infants and toddlers with university occupations, whether as students, academic or administrative staff. Also,
if doing these activities in parallel, had as a result (from their perception and personal experiences), any condition of
inequality, inequity or even gender violence. The reflections arise from a nonrandom sample of participants who
responded to a formulation with open and closed questions questionnaire to address the issue. Addressed to men and
women who had or have a relation with the University of Guadalajara, whether if it is as students or employees, at the
Center for Humanities and Social Sciences of the institution. It also raises ideas that justify the presence of a daycare as a
space that facilitates the reconciliation of parenting and occupations in the university.
