Abstract
En este artículo se analizan comparativamente las estrategias empleadas por alumnos de sexto de primaria y de primero de bachillerato en la resolución de un mismo problema de combinatoria. Se compara también en ambos niveles la evolución de su grado de implicación afectiva en relación con la dificultad y el tipo de tarea propuesta. Las conclusiones apuntan a una mayor libertad al proponer estrategias de solución en los alumnos de primaria que en los de Bachillerato y una variabilidad extrema de la implicación afectiva de los estudiantes de primaria que no se da en los estudiantes de bachillerato.

This article discusses the strategies used by 6th and 7th grade students in solving the same combinatorics problem. Also, it shows a comparison between both levels in terms of the evolution of students’ degree of involvement during the process of solving the problem, relating this evolution to the type of task and its difficulty. The conclusions point to a greater freedom in the resolution strategies within the primary group as well as extreme and highly variable emotions in the primary students who are not found in the older ones.
