Abstract
The reaction of propargylsilane magnesium bromide with aldimines provides in some cases, an isomeric mixture of three acetylenic amines 1, 2, 3 (1 and 2, as major products). The reaction has great potential and has been exploited for an efficient synthesis of the pure amine 2.
