Abstract
Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o comportamento e a germinação das sementes de Tibouchina stenocarpa em função da temperatura e do substrato. Foram realizados dois ensaios: no primeiro foi verificado o efeito das temperaturas de 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 e 40ºC, e o segundo foi realizado para verificar o efeito dos substratos: terra do local de origem das plantas, areia e papel na germinação das sementes. Sementes de T. stenocarpa germinaram nas temperaturas de 20, 25 e 30ºC, na presença de luz. Para a realização de testes de germinação de sementes de T. stenocarpa o substrato sobre areia foi o mais eficiente.
