RESUMO: Da obra de Antístenes de Atenas, temos testemunhos e fragmentos. Por conta disso, é difícil estabelecer quais fossem suas reflexões estéticas. Uma análise detida sobre os textos que temos pode fornecer pistas sobre o possível encaminhamento dado por ele à questão. No catálogo de escritos de Antístenes escrito por Diógenes Laércio (D.L., VI, 15), há um título que menciona o belo (καλός). Esse testemunho, aliado ao testemunho de outros autores (como Simplício e Xenofonte), fornecem indícios para uma reflexão estética cuja origem poderia ser Antístenes.
