Abstract
The article presents substantiated methodical recommendations teaching English reading to students of technical specialties by means of integration. The research reveals peculiarities of interrelated stages of teaching English reading to students majoring in technical sciences, namely pre-reading, while-reading, postreading. Basic sets of exercises, aimed at the formation of relevant skills were analyzed. The purpose of use of methodical recommendations in the context of teaching English reading on integration principles to students of technical specialties, in particular, to future navigators, was characterized in this paper. There has been also suggested a set of exercises aimed at the formation and development of skills, such as phonetic, grammatical and lexical competences on pre-reading stage, the development of receptive-reproductive abilities of the first, second and third orders – on the while-reading stage, and exercises to develop productive skills served on post- reading stage of teaching English reading to students of technical specialties.
