Abstract

El funcionamiento de los memoriales como lugares que recogen una memoria colectiva puede ser, como mínimo, problematizado. A lo largo del texto se reflexiona sobre la compleja relación que se establece entre la memoria y la historia no sólo en estas construcciones, sino también en otras propuestas plásticas que han establecido determinados criterios sobre un problema que está poniendo en crisis nuestra ajustada manera de mirar el pasado.

The device of memorials as places to keep a collective memory could be, at least questioned. In all over the text I reflect about the complex relationship between memory and history, not just in those buildings, but also in other visual approaches that are creating new criteria, questioning, challenging and putting in crisis our narrow way to look at the past.
