Abstract
El trabajo realizado expone, mediante la comparación de dos discursos elaborados en contextos histórico temporales diferentes (el libro "Chile: revolución silenciosa", publicado en 1987; y el "Programa del cambio", publicado una década después), un análisis de discurso del actual alcalde de Santiago y ex candidato presidencial, Joaquín Lavín Infante. La investigación permitió dilucidar que el discurso del edil de Santiago manifiesta una serie de disconformidades en cuanto a sus referentes ideológicos, lo que expresa una doble vía discursiva que le resta credibilidad y coherencia al sujeto como ente ideológico.
