Abstract
The article deals with the representation of regional identity in the texts of Nanai folk discourse, the indigenous inhabitants of the Amur region. The analysis of the regional folklore discourse reveals the national character of the indigenous population, whose features appeared later in the modern inhabitants of the Amur region. As a result, we found that the beautiful and rich environment surrounding indigenous people is reflected in the national character of the Nanai. Particularly relevant to the mythological Nanai consciousness are such basic concepts of archetypal character, as courage, hard work, the respectfulness.
