Abstract
La exposición a una economía tan dinámica como la de estos tiempos, hace que cualquier iniciativa económica local deba afrontarse con una perspectiva amplia del futuro, del entorno y de la competencia. Este agente de cambio, que es capaz de determinar el eq uilibrio dinámico de los territorios 1 y su capacidad de supervivencia y de éxito, es la competitividad. Por tanto, el objetivo es resumir las limitaciones en el orden conceptual, teórico, metodológico y práctico del análisis de la competitividad para las c ondiciones de la economía cubana; y de esta forma fundamentar la necesidad de un instrumento para su análisis.
