Abstract
de la mayoría de las actividades opositoras a la dictadura de
Fulgencio Batista instaurada el 10 de marzo de 1952, Fidel Castro
prefirió organizar el núcleo de jóvenes con el que atacó los
Cuarteles Moncada y Carlos Manuel de Céspedes el 26 de julio de
1953 fuera de los círculos universitarios, y se dirigió
fundamentalmente a las bases ortodoxas. El artículo se adentra en las razones que explican este hecho, en especial las complicadas relaciones entre Fidel y determinados sectores de poder de la Universidad.
