Abstract
This paper analyzes the presence of the Plataforma de Afectados por la Hipoteca (PAH), their actions and claims in the Spanish media agenda and the political agenda in 2014. After describing the role of the platform as a social movement in Spain, it is analyzed the coverage that the three major print media (El País, El Mundo and ABC) have done throughout the year, from the perspective of Framing, noting the evaluative treatment made by the newspapers about the Platform. On the other hand, it is carried out an analysis of the political agenda regarding mentions of PAH and their actions in the parliamentary debate in the Congress of Deputies, differentiating between the symbolic and the substantial agenda. The data show, on the one hand, a different treatment of the social movement by the three newspapers, which would correspond to the different ideological position of each media. On the other hand, the political parties in the Chamber include in a quantitatively different way the PAH in their speeches –being Izquierda Plural the group that realizes more mentions in the period– and most of them belong to the symbolic agenda. The timing of the two agendas does not show a clear influence between them.
