Abstract
O presente artigo trata sobre uma questão inserida na atual tensão do mundo árabe no norte da África, o caso da Líbia. As potências ocidentais acusam o líder da Líbia Muamar Kadafi de crimes contra a humanidade e atacam em uma coalizão representada pela OTAN. Meses antes essas mesmas potências realizavam negócios com o líder líbio que doravante é o mau a ser combatido. Essa pode ser mais uma guerra pelo petróleo, mas agora inserida numa região que vive um colapso político de origem muito diversa do que ocorre na Líbia. Na verdade o que vem ocorrendo na Líbia é uma guerra civil e não uma rebelião popular e o principal objetivo desta guerra é o petróleo. A medida que as forças de Trípoli foram adquirindo armas das potências ocidentais essa guerra ficou desigual e afetou os interesses das multinacionais do petróleo instaladas na região
