Abstract
Fifty-five patients with chronic liver disease and fifty-eight control group patients who ages change 5 between16 were analyzed for evaluation of bone mineral metabolism marker in the department of pediatric gastroenterology.There was no statistical significance amongparameters of age, urine calcium, urine creatinin, urine protein, urine calcium/creatinin rate, serum calcium, osteocalsin and alkaline phosphatase levels (p>0.05). There was statistically significant result between parathyroid hormone and β-crosslaps levels between patients group and control group (p<0.05).β-crosslaps and urine calcium result showed very low positive correlation (r=0.289, p=0.44); also weak positive correlation between phosphatase levels and urine calcium were (r=0.353, p=0.010), and between osteocalsin and β-crosslaps with weak positive correlation (r =0.393, p=0.005).As a conclusion of this study; in pediatric age group of chronic liver patients, bone mineralization changing start even before cirrhosis is developed and this changing were detected as increase of osteoclastic activity
