Abstract
O presente artigo pretende estudar alguns dos aspectos do método de Marx,especialmente o tratamento dado a duas categorias: essência e verdade. Herdeiro datradição racionalista, Marx mantém em seu aparato categorial tanto a essência quanto averdade, ambas entrelaçadas uma à outra. Na mesma medida, será nosso intento atentarpara a peculiaridade do tratamento legado por Marx a essas duas categorias, tendo emconta as especificidades do materialismo de sua concepção teórica.
