Abstract
El efecto de la concentración de una industria sobre la eficiencia productivade las empresas participantes, constituye un test empírico habitualen el campo de la microeconomía aplicada y de la organización industrial.Este trabajo está basado en la evidencia del sector de la construcciónen la Provincia de Santa Fe, en el período 1993-2001, y se comprobó lahipótesis prevista por la teoría: dado el alto grado de competencia delsector y baja concentración de la industria, entonces la eficiencia mediay mínima del sector son altas, y el desvío standard de los indicadores deeficiencia individuales es bajo.
