Der vorliegende Beitrag betrachtet den Begriff Information Literacy zunächst aus einer erziehungswissenschaftlich geprägten Perspektive und sucht nach Zusammenhängen zum Begriff Bildung als Leitidee für pädagogisches Handeln. Danach wird die Relevanz der fachübergreifenden Entwicklung von Information Literacy-Angeboten aufgezeigt. Als Abschluss wird ein bestehendes Information Literacy-Angebot der Pädagogischen Hochschule Thurgau (Schweiz) vorgestellt und kritisch diskutiert.   This article starts with discussing the concept of information literacy from a perspective shaped by the science of education. This includes looking for connections to “Bildung” (education) as a guideline to pedagogical actions. As a next step, the focus is placed on the relevance of an interdisciplinary conception and development of training offers in the area of information literacy. As a conclusion, the paper presents and critically discusses an existing example of an information literacy learning scenario at the Pädagogische Hochschule (University of Education) Thurgau (Switzerland).
