Abstract

El presente artículo trata de reflexionar sobre la función, forma y significación de una modalidad lingüística a punto de desaparecer: el lenguaje de los soldados de reemplazo. Esta variedad del lenguaje, que varía en función del espacio y del tiempo y que comparte características con la jerga juvenil, la utilizan los reclutas para identificarse como grupo y para distraerse. Este lenguaje especial refleja fundamentalmente las dos obsesiones del soldado conscripto: el tiempo que queda de mili y la rebeldía frente a las obligaciones impuestas por la vida militar.
