Abstract
Se presenta aquí una síntesis de la investigación sobre las tensiones entre los derechos de infancia y los contextos de desigualdad y exclusión en Bogotá. Se asume tener presente el pasado para formular cuestionamientos a la propuesta de “protección integral”, a partir del seguimiento de las rutas institucionales y la organización de la vida de niños considerados abandonados social y moralmente entre finales del siglo XVII y comienzos del XX. Se comprueba que entre el discurso médico y el religioso, se buscó una reeducación para corregir y transformar a una infancia considerada como peligro social.
