Abstract
På trods af formel ligestilling foretrækker kvinder stadigvæk at se film og tv om romantik og parforhold. En naturvidenskabelig tilgang kan give rationelle forklaringer på, hvorfor filmens fremstilling af længslen efter og tabet af den eneste ene simulerer et konkret behov for den gennemsnitlige kvindelige tilskuer, og hvordan kulturen i samspil med biologien er med at til at guide den kvindelige tilskuer i at træffe fornuftige livsvalg.
