Abstract
This is a critical analysis about Lumbar Puncture by medial line and its inconveniences. Ther's a description of anatomic basis and conveniences of the Lumbar Puncture by paramedial line, with sorne personal constributions to the subject, which has been very useful for: Obtention of CSF, myelographies, peridural and subarachnoid catheters placement, contrast neuro-radiological studies, pain relief by application of just one morphines bolus, intradural treatmens with antibiotics, steroids, etc. There's also a description of the technique and points of notice to make it correctly.
