Abstract
This article analyzes the notion of experience present in the work of American feminist historian Joan W. Scott. It analyzes different notions of experience used in the Social History of the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties with which Scott has had significant dialogues and discussions. Finally, we present some critic to the concept of experience developed by Scott, that come both from gender history and feminist theory
