Abstract
Maintenance of transport infrastructure
and vehicles is important cost element of the budget of
local transport companies, cost reduction is optimized
by adapting appropriate strategies. Obsolescence can
directly and indirectly influence the operation and
maintenance of public transport systems. Challenged
by the technical wear and lack of spare parts, it is
impossible to cover increased needs with amenities to
the given level. The reliability and availability of
transport systems will be adapted at minimal cost and
maximum safety criteria. Case study: the tram system
in Oradea.
