Abstract

ABSTRACT: The monetary phenomenon in Republican Spain has been analysed in a dialectic approach to the historical process from four different viewpoints: methodology, economy, politics and taxation. Professor MiquelTarradell's thoughts on coinage and a more complexed relation between coinage and history for the last 30 years have also been our starting point. The aniversary of the I Meeting for the Ancient Economy of the Iberian Peninsula in Valencia is an excellent excuse to update old and new research proposals.
