Abstract
The experimental studies of the properties of the hardened surface layer, developed by the microarc oxidation method
(MAO) on the surface of Al-Si ingots from AK12D alloy have been presented here. The effect of concentration of the
electrolyte components on the properties of the MAO coating, such as microhardness, thickness, porosity have been
studied. The corresponding regression equations to estimate the influence of the process parameters on the quality of the
developed MAO-layer, have been set up.
