Abstract
Il contributo presenta le ricerche archivistiche condotte sulla collezione della Pinacoteca Civica “Fortunato Duranti” di Montefortino, tra le più importanti raccolte di opere d’arte della seconda metà dell’Ottocento nelle Marche. Nel testo vengono esaminati gli inventari ottocenteschi della collezione in relazione alle opere fino ad oggi pervenute. Particolare rilievo è stato conferito all’analisi dell’Inventario dei Beni comunali redatto nel 1863, in questa sede pubblicato integralmente, e alla disamina di un carteggio inedito di Ignazio Cantalamessa, risalente agli anni 1854-1855, dal quale sono emerse nuove informazioni sul mercato antiquario dell’epoca in relazione alla figura di Fortunato Duranti.   The paper presents the archival researches conducted about the Civic Art Gallery “Fortunato Duranti” at Montefortino, one of the most important art collections in the second half of the nineteenth century of the Marche. In the text the inventories of the collection are examined and particular emphasis is given to the analysis of the Inventory written in 1863, here completely published, and to a survey about a unpublished correspondence of Ignazio Cantalamessa, in the years 1854-1855, where new and several informations on the art dealer and collector Fortunato Duranti have been found.
