Abstract
Este trabajo informa los resultdos de una evaluación, realizada por un equipo externo, de la disponibilidad en el estante de las obras monográficas solicitadas por usuarios de una biblioteca universitaria. Se presentan los objetivos, etapas y criterios de la evaluación, así como también el diseño e implementación de la misma. Se investiga a través de la aplicación de dos técnicas: a) simulación -con dos variantes- y b) entrevistas a los usuarios, aplicándose el indicador de la norma ISO 11620, B 2.2.2. «Disponibilidad de títulos solicitados». Se analiza la información relevada y se comparan los resultados obtenidos, reflexionando sobre los mismos.
This paper evaluates shelf availability of monograph titles requested at a university library. The evaluation has been carried out by an external group. Goals, steps and evaluation criteria, as well as evaluation design and implementation are described in detail. The research has used two different techniques: simulation (with two variants) and users' interviews, according to ISO 11620, B2.2.2 indicator «Required Titles Availability» (ISO 11600 Standard). Survey results are analyzed and compared.
