Abstract
This work presents the results of the treatment of liquid wastes with high content of toxic metals and anions (SO42-, PO43-, F- y NO3-), originated from an industry of anticorrosive covering of metallic parts. Chemical precipitation with lime was applied, obtaining percentage of removal, for metals and phosphate, higher than 98%, being those samples within unloading parameters. For the rest of anions, ion exchange was applied obtaining percentages of removal for sulfate of 97%, nitrate 99% and fluoride 71%. In spite of the effectiveness of both treatments, by-products are generated that require of a suitable final disposition.
