Abstract
O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar dados relativos à representação de trabalho por estudantes trabalhadores que estudam em curso noturno. Dezesseis estudantes da última série do primeiro grau responderam a um questionário e duas questões relativas ao trabalho foram analisadas. Uma análise qualitativa dos resultados mostrou que há uma tendência nítida em representar o trabalho como condição de sobrevivência. Ademais há um componente de prazer ligado ao trabalho. Fez-se uma discussão dos resultados, considerando o papel da escola, além de ideologia e cultura.
