Abstract
This paper proposes a novel algorithm for optimal location of the turbines of a wind farm, considering the wake effect and any provision of winds, using the metaheuristic technique for particle swarm optimization (PSO). Likewise, the provision that generates more energy for a proposed case is shown, taking into account the constraints of distances between the turbines, the wind farm area and the wake effect. The energy optimization generated by the park is realized for a compass rose over a period of time.
