Abstract
La escritura de la historia en el Paraguay era, hasta hace poco tiempo, un objeto prácticamente desconocido, no por inexistente, sino, en ocasiones, por ignorado. Sin embargo, actualmente, se encuentra en una etapa de repunte gracias a la reubicación de los focos de interés en investigaciones, la divulgación de fuentes históricas heterogéneas y la apertura de testimonios escasamente transitados. Este artículo pretende anoticiar sobre algunos autores y discursos históricos en Paraguay. Los argumentos que se desenvuelven aspiran a contribuir, asimismo, a la revisión del aislamiento como determinante de la escritura de la historia.
