Abstract
In the Ottoman Period, Orthodox people speaking no language other than Turkish used to be called Karamanids and the language used to be called Karamanlidika. The Karamanids, during Lausanne population exchange, were sent to Greece from the region they were living in. While moving to Greece, those people took their movable properties and enshrined properties of the churches with them. The most vulnerable of those considered as their immovable cultural assets left in their homeland were the graveyards of their ancestors. Those very few number of Karamanids grave stones considered as pedigrees surviving until today were neglected due to both ignorance and “nation system” of the 15th century of which the effects reach the present day and were not part of a comprehensive work . In this study, it is aimed to introduce grave stones, which are of utmost importance in terms of Art and Culture Historiography, written in Karamanlidika with their forms, ingredients and ornamentation and to underline their roles in the period.
[TR: Osmanlı Dönemi’nde Ortodoksların Türkçe’den başka dil bilmeyenlerine Karamanlı, konuştukları dile de Karamanlıca denirdi. Karamanlılar, Lozan Mübadelesi kapsamında yaşadıkları bölgelerden Yunanistan’a gönderildiler. Yunanistan’a giderken yanlarında maddi taşınırlarla birlikte kiliselerin taşınabilir kutsallarını da götürdüler.
