Abstract
SWOT analysis of reservoirs effect on the environment. Model: “Dragan-Iad” hydroenergetical scheme from the Crisul Repede upper basin. The implementation of a reservoir implies both positive and negative effects and it is extremely important to determine the most appropriate solution. This can be achieved by monitoring and controlling all the impact-generating elements in order to prevent or at least forecast the undesired events. The process of impact identification and of all significant interactions between a hydro-energetic scheme and the environmental components is extremely difficult because of involved systems’ complexity. In order to inventory as completely as possible the storage lakes generated effects, the SWOT analysis was applied.
