Abstract

El artículo utiliza la figura de José de la Riva-Agüero y Osma (1885-1944), intelectual peruano que destacó en los campos de la historia, la literatura, el derecho y la política, para a través de su teoría sobre un Perú resultado de la síntesis de dos culturas, analizar la lucha por lograr un arte nacional por parte de algunos arquitectos peruanos a finales del siglo XIX y especialmente en la primera mitad del XX.
