Abstract
O presente artigo apresenta um estudo de termosneológicos do universo discursivo do coco babaçu, catalogados a partir do glossário pertencente ao trabalho de tese denominado Uma palmeira em muitos termos: a terminologia da cultura agroextrativista, industrial ecomercial do coco babaçu, trabalho apresentado na Universidade Federal do Ceará, em outubro de 2008, tinha como objetivo inventariar termos do universo do babaçu. Na presente pesquisa, é objetivo nosso analisar e refletir sobre os processos de criação lexical pelos quais passam os termos neológicos do universo do babaçu. Utilizamos as teorias relacionadas a unidades neológicas dentro da Terminologia e das demais ciências do léxico. Palavras-chave: Neologia - Terminologia- coco babaçu.
