Abstract
Com base na Teoria da Identidade Social e seus conceitos principais, como grupo, filiação categórica e sistema de crenças, este artigo examina a dimensão do comportamento intergrupal como modalidade do comportamento assertivo de enfrentamento. Discute, também, o sistema de crenças a respeito de estratificação e mobilidade social como variável facilitadora ou dificultadora do desempenho assertivo e sua importância para o Treinamento Assertivo.
